Jesus Heals for Free

You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good, and healing all who were oppressed by the devil; for God was with Him.

Acts 10:38

Jesus went about doing good – healing people from all manner of sickness and delivering them from the oppression of the devil. All one has to do is read through the gospels to see this. And to also see that He never asked for a co-pay or a tithe or an offering. The healing He provided would require a payment but not from us or anyone who was ever healed by Him.

The cost was covered by Jesus. Totally. And nothing was asked of anyone in return.

In the Amplified Bible, Isaiah 55:3 tells us:

He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.

Jesus knew what the cost would be – nothing less than His life. Yet, His love for His Father and for us was great enough for Him to keep on doing good and healing and delivering those who were in need.

The Bible tells us in Hebrews 13:8 that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. He is still healing people, still delivering people from the oppression of the devil, still providing forgiveness for our sins, and still doing these good things with no expectation of payment from anyone.

What He has done for others, He will do for you and for me.

Father, thank You for sending Jesus to show me Your heart for me. I praise You because You love me so much that You provided for my healing, my deliverance, my freedom from sin and all of this is free to me. Help me to receive all that has been so freely offered and help me to share this good news with others, I ask in Jesus’ name, amen.

    1. It is so good to hear from you. I have missed you. I kind of took a break from blogging for a while and I keep thinking I’m gonna get back to it. Thank you for your encouraging words. For some reason. My Jetpack thing is not telling me when you make a new post, do you know why that would be?

      1. That’s odd that they would drop one. I am considering discontinuing the blog. I really enjoyed doing this some time ago but lately it has just been another thing on my list to do. I admire you that you could continue on as long as you have.
