God means what he says. What he says goes. His powerful Word is sharp as a surgeon’s scalpel, cutting through everything, whether doubt or defense, laying us open to listen and obey. Nothing and no one is impervious to God’s Word. We can’t get away from it – no matter what.
Hebrews 4:12 -13 Message Bible
God gave us His word to show us life changing truths. Truths about who we are and truths about who He is.
One of the truths we have been given consistently thorough out the Bible is that it is God’s will to heal us. He paid a tremendous price for our healing – His Son, Jesus.
He said, “I am the God that healeth thee”, Exodus 15:26. Why tell us this if He didn’t mean it? If it wasn’t a truth we could build our lives on why would He give Himself the name – Jehovah Rapha?
We can take Him at His word, we can trust Him even when the evidence tells us otherwise.
This verse also tells us that nothing – sickness, illness, disease, pain, nothing is impervious to God’s Word. If He says sickness must go, then it must go. If He says I am healed, then I am healed.
I have relied on this verse numerous times for healing for myself or a loved one when the doctors weren’t quite sure what the problem was. God’s word, however, cut through all the symptoms and got to the root of the disease and brought healing.
His promise of healing is not made lightly; it is foundational to our faith.
We can trust in God’s Word even when circumstances suggest otherwise.
Nothing—sickness, disease, or pain—can withstand God’s command.
If God declares healing, then healing is assured.
Our part is to believe, receive and stand firm in our faith. Symptoms don’t tell the story, God does. And He says, “Be healed”.
Gracious heavenly Father, thank You for Your word and Your faithfulness to Your word. Thank You that no disease is too great or too small for You to reach out Your hand and heal. Help me to focus on Your word and not symptoms. Help me to stand firm on Your word and rest in Your love, in Jesus’ name, amen.
